Building giant robots
(Admittedly there is a zoids bias)

An MG Zaku II 2.0 that I bought at Otakon 2012 this one took me a long time to build as he’s probably on par with a PG in teh detail department. He’s supposed to have energy cables on the sides of his legs but I screwed them up, luckily he doesn’t look to derpy without them. He’s got a cool gimmick where when I turn his head the mono eye turns with it. (Also on a totally unrelated note it really sucks that I can only submit one picture at a time I took some pretty good ones.)

Mini Action Gojulas and Death Saurer

Otakon swag! My friend found a superawesome table with these guys, “Mini Action Zoids” models! He bought me Death Saurer and I bought myself a Gojulas, though I wanted to buy all four! But alas, I don’t need all four, so I settled for two. He bought himself a Redhorn, who I will enjoy vicariously. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

Death Saurer came on three adorable sprues, and Gojulas came on two. The stickers are cheap, but they stick well on flat, straight surfaces. They don’t take to sharp curves or corners very well though, so I used some superglue to help them out. Pose-ability is limited on both of them, but the jaws can be moved manually on both, the head on Gojulas can be posed a bit left or right, and both their arms can be moved up and down at the shoulder.

I can’t even suggest these enough, they are too cute for words.

I never thought I’d want a bootleg, but I am very interested in this D-Style Blade Liger Mirage. Look at the teeth and claws! Blue! What an interesting choice.
Too bad it’s on a chinese site (or maybe taiwan?) and I don’t know how to get one for myself :( Clearly some research is in order.

Just keep an eye on eBay, I see Chinese HMMs and D-Styles on eBay all the time c:

I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled, then! I am a bit of an ebay-aholic anyway <:

I swear I’ll build these one day

Someone else joins the pile!

I swear I’ll build these one day

one day

Okay so when I bought my Gojulas Giga, the seller said that it was missing an unimportant piece. I put the thing together and notice that’s it’s really quiet while in pursuit mode. I found out that the missing piece is actually quite important! It causes the Giga to move it’s head around and roar while in pursuit mode. So my Giga has lost it’s roar ):

If anyone has a spare C3 piece that I could give to my Giga, I would be really grateful!

EDIT: Someone helped me out! Thanks, now he can roar with the best of them!

Bought a built Gojulas Giga on ebay! I took it completely apart for cleaning and put it back together, so it’s almost like I built it myself right?!

Look at that pretty pretty flecking they did with the grey. <3

Got my Elephander in! I’m in the middle of creating space on my shelves, so I’ll hopefully be building this soon.

Got my Jager in the mail, and man is this box huge

Probably gonna wait to build this one though

HMMs that I want to own

Two have April restocks, the Saber has a May restock. I give up on the red one, but Schwalz’s is pretty sexy. Also totally will grab a Jager unit for the Zero.

Goodbye April money

I realized that I am going to be swimming in dark zoids. I need some more color.

Irvine down, gonna replace Zero with the Jager model awww yeah

I keep putting off buying them though because… HMM prices… sob

However, I may have pre-ordered myself a D-Style Bloody Death Saurer too because uhm

LOOK AT HIM?!

And obviously my D-Style Blade Liger needs an adorable enemy.

I’m also staring at an Elephander that is calling for me

help I can’t house all these zoids

Finished building tonight! I like the pose-ability of it, it’s actually pretty easy to pose and is stable. My Saix has a leg-popping-off problem, but Wolf is really good about hanging on to it’s limbs. One of the front legs did pop off once or twice, so I glued the connector down and it’s fine now. The paws like to fall off the most, so I’ll glue those down once I figure out how to handle the legs. I don’t want to detail anything big until I do the legs, so it’ll probably stay here a while. If I can, I’d also like to get some waterslides instead of the sticker decals, even though the manual only tells you a few to put on.

12 hours total build-time

(derp, the canopy popped up a bit and I didn’t notice, but everything fits really flush with each other. Very happy about that.)
